Punjab High Court grants relief to CM Bhagwant Mann over clash with Chandigarh Police

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has got relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The High Court has stayed till May 19 the hearing in the Chandigarh District Court in the FIR case registered in January 2020 in Chandigarh.

The high court has also issued a notice to the Chandigarh administration.
The previous Congress government in Punjab had increased the power tariff. At that time, leaders and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party had protested against this.
During this protest, they tried to gherao the CM House and during this time there was a clash with the police. At that time, the Chandigarh Police had registered a case against Bhagwant Mann and other leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party.
