Punjab Sikhya Kranti launched in Kapurthala- Eight govt schools to witness facelift in first phase

MP urges people to avail free education services at govt schools

Kapurthala News: Under the “ Punjab Sikhya Kranti “ Eight schools of district Kapurthala will witness complete facelift with more than Rs. 1.07 crores as the work has been completed in all these schools and dedicated to the people.

Additional class rooms and science labs have been constructed in these schools under first phase as the “Punjab Sikhya Kranti “ to cover more than 255 senior secondary and 543 Primary/ Middle/High schools till mid may .

Hailing the efforts of Punjab Government under the leadership of chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann , Member Parliament from Hoshiarpur Dr. Raj Kumar Chabewal said that “ it was a first time in history that 12 % of 2025-26 budget has been allocated to education sector which counts Rs. 17975 crore .

The MP has also inaugurated the work at school of eminence Phagwara with Rs. 43 lakh .

In Sultanpur Lodhi block, improvement trust chairman Kapurthala Sajjan Singh Cheema has also inaugurated the science lab at Govt school Channa Sher Singh village with Rs. 11 lakh and an additional class room with 6.26 lakh . Besides that with Rs. 7.51 lakh additional class rooms to be constructed as well as boundary wall with 4.5 lakh .

Besides that in Kapurthala block , Dr. Harminder Singh vice chairman, PSIDC has inaugurated the work at Govt school Balerkhapur whivh have new science lab with 14.51 lakh and Govt school Dhapai have new washrooms with 1.66 lakh .

In Bholath sub division , Director water resources department Punjab and member of PCA, Harsimran Singh Ghumman has laid the foundation stone of new boundary wall at Govt school Dhaliwal bet and additional class room with Rs. 7.51 lakh at Govt school Ibrahimwal .

Prominent amongst present on the occasion included former minister and AAP senior leader Joginder Singh Mann , Mayor Phagwara Rampal Uppal , ADC Phagwara Dr. Akahita Gupta , AAP Spokesperson Harji Mann etc.
