Punjab to send 36 school principals to Singapore for training

Chandigarh: The Punjab government will send 36 school principals to Singapore in March for a five-day training program aimed at improving school education standards, Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced.

Under the Leadership Development Programme, 198 principals and education officers from Punjab have already received training at The Principal’s Academy, Singapore. The upcoming batch will be the seventh in this initiative.

Bains also highlighted the establishment of an International Education Affairs Cell (IEAC) within the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) to provide international-level training for teachers, school heads, and education administrators.

During their visit, the principals will attend workshops, seminars, and activities focused on advanced teaching techniques and educational practices used in Singaporean schools. The initiative aims to enhance inter-learning, motivation, and teaching-learning processes in Punjab’s schools.
