Punjab’s excise policy good and not required any probe: Cheema

Chandigarh: With the Delhi excise case casting a shadow on the Punjab excise policy, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said he was ready to face any probe.

He said this was a good policy and Punjab’s revenue from excise duty had increased by Rs 4,000 crore in just two years. The state has succeeded in eliminating the liquor mafia.

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party’s chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said the party will not bow down to the “dictatorship” of the BJP.
