Retreat ceremony at Wagah border should be cancelled immediately: Ramoowalia
Punjab News: Lok Kalyan Party national president and former Union minister Balwant Singh Ramoowalia has demanded an immediate end to the flag-lowering ceremony at the Pakistan-India Wagah border. He said that this ritual instills a sense of hatred and enmity in the hearts of the children of both the countries from old age to old age.
This phenomenon has been going on since 1959, which works daily to add fuel to the fire of enmity. The Lok Kalyan Party will launch a public awareness campaign on both sides to end the tradition of retreat at the Wagah border so that the fire of enmity between the two countries can be calmed down.
He said that in order to save the youth of Punjab from fraudulent travel agents, soon a message of awareness would be created in the cities and villages to make the common people, especially the youth, aware.
