Rinku lays foundation stone of sewerage project in Adampur city worth Rs 6.45 crore

Adampur News: Lok Sabha Member Sushil Kumar Rinku today laid the foundation stone of the sewerage project for Adampur city at a cost of Rs 6.45 crore. This 14 kilometer long sewerage line will solve the major sewerage-related problems here and will provide relief to people.

Speaking on the occassion, MP Sushil Kumar Rinku said that after the completion of this project, the sewerage coverage in this area will increase from 60 to 90 percent. Likewise, over 14000 people from 2940 houses will directly benefit from it, he said adding that the necessary funds have already been released by the Punjab Government to complete this work. Mr. Rinku further mentioned that the people of Adampur area have been demanding for a long time that the sewerage system in the city should be strengthened but the previous governments had never paid attention to their demand.  He said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was committed to strengthening the infrastructure of cities/villages and there was no shortage of funds for this work.  He said that the foundation stones of development works are being laid continuously in the state besides, projects which have been completed are being handed over to the public.

MP Sushil Rinku further said that the Punjab government was making continuous progress in every field including education, health and infrastructure. To provide people with government services at home, ‘Aap Di Sarkar Aap De Dwar’ scheme has also been started, which is being taken advantage of by a large number of people across the state.
