SGPC probe blames Punjab CM for firing at Gurdwara Sri Akal Bunga Sahib
Amritsar: The SGPC’s inquiry committee has blamed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for the firing incident at Gurdwara Sri Akal Bunga Sahib. The incident was investigated by a five-member SGPC inquiry committee, which directly holds the CM accountable for the occurrence.
During a press conference, SGPC president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami disclosed the inquiry committee’s report, stating that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, also serving as the Home Minister, bears direct responsibility for entering of cops in Gurdwara Akal Bunga Sahib with shoes, violating its dignity, and firing weapons without justification.
Dhami mentioned that the report has been submitted to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and a decision on action will be made after discussions. However, the report has been made public to inform the sangat.
