Shubhkaran death: Farmers’ organisations decide not to accept any offer from Punjab govt till filing case against Haryana police
Chandigarh: The punjab government’s offer of Rs 1 crore compensation to the next of kin of deceased farmer Shubhkaran, a permanent government job for his younger sister and a complete loan waiver of Rs 15 lakh has been rejected by the farmer unions.
Addressing a press conference at Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala here today, Sarwan Singh Pandher, Jagjit Singh Dallewal and Surjit Singh Phool said that no such offer would be accepted till a case of murder was registered against those responsible for Shubhkaran’s death.
At the same time, he also made it clear that he will not conduct a post-mortem till the filing of the chargesheet.
