To Develop Tourism Sector in Full Potential is one of the Top Priorities of Punjab Government- Anmol Gagan Maan

Chandigarh News: Mentioning that to develop the eco-tourism, adventure and water sports and tourism sector as a whole in full potential is one of the top priorities of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Minister for tourism and cultural affairs and investment promotion Anmol Gagan Maan has said that the steps being taken by the Punjab Government to develop tourism will bring exemplary results in near future.

Punjab Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Maan was here to participate in Punjab Day Function celebrated on Saturday evening during the ongoing India International Trade Fair 2023 as Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering the Minister said the Punjab Government was leaving no stone unturned to explore the every aspect of tourism arena in Punjab so that the NRI Punjabis, international as well as domestic travellers would feel the richness and true essence of culture and historical aspects of Punjab.

Punjab Tourism Minister has said it is for the first time that the heritage fairs and festivals are being organised by the Punjab Government and for this particular purpose a budget of Rs15 Crore has been allocated. She has also said that the tourism summit organised by the Punjab Government during the current year was a huge success and the Punjab Government’s aim is to make the state frontrunner in terms of tourism in the country.

During the function, renowned Punjabi singer Afsana Khan enthralled the audience with her performance.

The chief guest was honoured with memento by the tourism department. Punjab Cabinet minister honoured the dignitaries and artists including MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Chairman P.S.I.E.C Dalvir Singh, Principal Secretary Tourism and Cultural Affairs Rakhee Gupta Bhandari, Singer Afsana Khan and Bhangra Artist Bhola Kalehri. On the occasion additional director tourism and cultural affairs Rakesh kumar Popli, Administrator Punjab Pavilion Davinderpal Singh and Deputy Administrator Gurpreet Singh were also present.
