Two labourers killed, two hospitalised after roof of petrol pump collapses in Jalandhar’s Phillaur 

Jalandhar News: A major accident took place during the repair of the old building of the petrol pump in Phillaur of Jalandhar district. The workers were buried under the debris as the roof collapsed. 
      After screaming, locals rushed to the spot and pulled out the labourers, but two labourers lost their lives in the accident. Two other workers were injured. They have been admitted to the hospital. 
     The incident took place at Lasada petrol pump on Nawanshahr road in Phillaur. The work of repairing the old building in the petrol pump was going on. Suddenly the roof collapsed. 
     After the noise, locals called the fire brigade. At the same time, two workers were pulled out alive but due to their serious condition, they were admitted to the hospital. 
As soon as the incident was reported, the police of Phillaur police station reached the spot. Police said two labourers were standing on the roof. Suddenly the roof fell down and the workers were buried in it. Both the labourers standing on the roof died on the spot. 
     The police will take action based on the statement of the family members. The bodies have been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
