UK police launch probe into desecration of Sikh holy book
Chandigarh: Police in Leeds, northern England, have launched an investigation into the discovery of parts of a holy book of Sikhs. West Yorkshire Police said they were informed of the incident by a Sikh on Sunday.
The incident took place on July 12 in the Headingley area. It was earlier understood that the holy pages of the holy book were dumped in the victim’s garbage bin by a suspect after they were kept for lifting garbage on July 11. But authorities have dismissed this after meeting the victim this week.
