Jalandhar:  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), reacting to the baseless allegations of Congress leaders, said that we don’t believe in booth capturing, we capture people’s hearts through our work and pro-people policies. While campaigning for by-election, the AAP leaders are getting very good response from the people of Jalandhar who will vote wholeheartedly for the AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, senior AAP leader and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora cornering the Congress party and their leaders said that they have already accepted their defeat. He added that it is obvious from the statements of Congress leaders, especially their former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi that they are well aware of the fact that Congress has lost its base among the people.

Aman Arora said that last year during assembly elections the people of Punjab rejected all anti-people leaders no matter how influential they were. Similarly in this election vote for those who value your vote. The top Congress leadership from Delhi didn’t even come to Jalandhar to ask for your votes, meaning is clear, they don’t value your vote, they have been taking you for granted. So do not vote for such parties.

Arora further said that Channi is saying that we will capture booths, we are misusing government machinery and civil administration. We are not doing anything like that, it is not the ideology of our party. Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and all the local leaders of Jalandhar constituency are coming to you asking for your votes on the basis of our work as Punjab government since 16th March 2022. Arora said that Congress is levelling these baseless allegations because they’re making excuses to justify their impending defeat in this by-election.

Arora challenged Congress leaders that rather than doing propaganda against the Aam Aadmi Party, they should tell the people of Jalandhar what they’ve done for them when people voted for them for 60 years or when they had their government in Punjab. He added that the AAP government is the first government which in just one year gave 30,000 jobs without any favourism, 600 units per bill free electricity resulting into zero bills of 88% of households in Punjab, opened 584 mohalla clinics, building medical colleges and schools of Eminence in Punjab.
