SpiceJet flight leaves 14 passengers standard at Amritsar airport

Chandigarh: A SpiceJet flight left 14 passengers at Amritsar airport in Punjab while going to Dubai. SpiceJet’s ground staff is citing a name error on the visa. At the same time, passengers say that some of their members have left for Dubai with similar visas.

SpiceJet flight SG-55 took off for Dubai at 9:15 am at Amritsar airport. About one and a half hours before the departure of the flight, 14 passengers were stopped at Amritsar airport. SpiceJet’s ground staff duty manager Ajay Bhat objected to the father’s name being mentioned twice in the visa document to the passengers.
Passengers said that there was a clerical mistake on the visas of 14 passengers. The name of the passenger’s father has been written once in the surname and the second time in the father’s column. These visas have been given by the Dubai government.
