Congress files police complaint against Union Minister Shah over ‘riots remark’ at Karnataka rally

New Delhi: Congress leaders filed a complaint against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding registration of an FIR against him and others with immediate effect. The Congress has objected to the Home Minister’s statement that riots will continue to take place in Karnataka if the Congress party is voted to power in the upcoming elections.

The complaint was lodged by Aicc general secretary and in-charge of party affairs in Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala, state Congress president D.K. Shivakumar and former deputy chief minister G Parameshwara handed over the high grounds to the SHO of the police station here.
In the complaint, the Congress leaders alleged that Shah, while addressing a gathering in Vijayapura on April 25, deliberately made several false and communal allegations against the Congress and its leaders to disturb communal harmony across the state.
