Despite ban, Delhiites burst firecrackers, air quality ‘very poor’

Despite the ban imposed by the Delhi government, people in the national capital burst crackers on Diwali night. Despite the legal ban, people started bursting firecrackers in different parts of south and northwest Delhi from Monday evening. 

Delhi’s air quality turned ‘very poor’ on Monday, officials said.
