DC Sarangal performs Bhangra in Kapurthala jail

A cultural programme was organised by the staff and inmates posted at Modern Jail Kapurthala on the occasion of Deepawali festival in Kapurthala, Punjab. 

DC Vishesh Sarangal was the chief guest. While he greeted the inmates on the festival, he celebrated the festival with inmates after performing bhangra with them.

There are 3,620 inmates in the Kapurthala jail premises. Deepawali festival was celebrated in the jaik on Monday in which shabad-kirtan, songs and bhangra were presented by the detainees. 

A DJ system was installed in the jail, which the inmates were enjoying. When the prisoners and employees danced, even DC Sarangal could not stop himself from dancing on the beats of Dhol. 

He also listened to the grievances of the detainees and assured an early solution. Authorities also distributed sweets in the jail. After this program, there was a wave of happiness on the faces of the prisoners and the prisoners thanked the jail administration.
