Politics on Vande Bharat in Punjab: Credit-war between BJP-AAP
The Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express has been flagged off on Saturday. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing at around 11 am. In this train, the city residents will get a lot of comfort, because the Vande Bharat Shatabdi train will take people to Delhi 38 minutes faster. The train will run 6 days a week except Friday and will halt at Jalandhar Cantt station for two minutes.
But now politics has started in the city regarding its inauguration. Because a lot of boards and flexes have been installed at Jalandhar Cantt railway station by BJP leaders and AAP leaders to take credit. Posters of BJP Punjab president Sunil Kumar Jakhar and Jalandhar MP Sushil Kumar Rinku have been put up at the railway station.
Earlier, the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat did not have a stoppage in Jalandhar. But then Jalandhar MP Sushil Kumar Rinku met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw regarding the stoppage of Vande Bharat. After which the stoppage of Vande Bharat was increased in Jalandhar Cantt and Phagwara. AAP leaders of Jalandhar have claimed that Jalandhar got the gift of Vande Bharat only because of MP Rinku.
