Delhi court sends Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till April 15 in liquor policy case
New Delhi: In the money laundering case related to the liquor policy case, the Rouse Avenue Court has sent Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till April 15.
Kejriwal, who is also the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo, was produced before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja in a jam-packed courtroom. The ED has sought Kejriwal’s judicial custody for 15 days, saying the chief minister “absolutely did not cooperate” during the investigation.
The ED told the court that Kejriwal’s conduct has been non-cooperative and he is giving evasive answers. They are not cooperating in the investigation.
“We may need custody in the future. Kejriwal has not given passwords for the digital devices,” ED said. The judge then remanded them in judicial custody till April 15.
