Rajnath Singh meets Vladimir Putin, discusses India-Russia defence ties
New Delhi: India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow today to discuss bilateral defence agreements and deepen strategic ties.
During the meeting, Singh said that the strong India-Russia partnership, noting its immense potential and expressing confidence that joint efforts would yield excellent results.
He reiterated India’s longstanding friendship with Russia, affirming that India has consistently stood by its Russian ally and will continue to do so. Singh also conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s best wishes to President Putin.
According to a statement from the Defence Ministry, the discussions covered various aspects of bilateral defence cooperation. Earlier, Singh held talks with Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belosov, focusing on military collaboration between the two nations.
