Chandigarh court summons Salman Khan, Alvira Khan in jewellery showroom fraud case

Chandigarh: A district court in Chandigarh has summoned actor Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan, and the directors of Style & Content Jewellery Pvt. Ltd. in connection with an alleged fraud linked to a Being Human Jewellery showroom. The court has directed all the accused to appear on October 5 and file their responses to the allegations.

The case stems from a complaint filed by Arun Goyal, a businessman from Manimajra, who alleged that he was cheated while opening a Being Human Jewellery showroom, resulting in losses running into crores of rupees.

According to the complaint, Goyal invested around ₹3 crore to establish the showroom in the NAC area of Manimajra after entering into an agreement with Style & Content Jewellery Pvt. Ltd.

He claimed that he fulfilled all the conditions of the agreement and spent nearly ₹1 crore on setting up the showroom. He also stocked the outlet with Being Human branded jewellery as required under the arrangement.

The court has issued summons to all the accused and will hear the matter on October 5, when they are expected to appear before the court and respond to the allegations.
