50 cartridges found in Punjab resident’s bag at Delhi’s airport
A 45-year-old man from Punjab was detained at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in the national capital after 50 cartridges were found in his luggage.
According to police, Gurinder Singh, a resident of Gurdaspur in Punjab, was detained when he was boarding Amritsar-bound Vistara Airlines. Officials said that during the screening of his luggage, the security personnel saw the picture of the cartridges.
So his bag was sent for examination. A total of 50 cartridges were recovered from his handbag. He did not have a valid licence to carry the weapon. An FIR has been registered under the Arms Act.
