Chandigarh: Ajay, 21, was beaten to death with sticks at 1.45 am on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday in Sector 25, Chandigarh.
Ajay’s post-mortem will be conducted today in this case.
The police arrested Sandeep Kumar, husband of area councillor Poonam, in connection with the case late on Wednesday night. The family members of the deceased had been staging a sit-in for two days demanding the arrest of the accused.
