Accused of Sidhu Moosewala murder clashed with inmates in Bathinda Central Jail

Chandigarh: Another fresh case has emerged from the Central Jail of Bathinda, which garners daily headlines. Deepak Mundi, implicated in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, has threatened to kill two convicts and two prisoners incarcerated in Bathinda’s Central Jail.

According to Assistant Superintendent of Jail Jaspal Singh’s statements, a quarrel arose between accused Harpreet Singh (Deepak Kumar Mundi accused of Sidhu Moosewala murder case) and prisoner Ravinder Singh (accused in the murder case of prisoner Sagar Sidhu). Both parties were threatening each other with harm.

Although no serious injuries occurred during the dispute, this incident highlights the lack of security and the absence of law enforcement in the minds of prisoners in the jail.

A case has been registered against the four accused under sections 186, 504, 34, and 52 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Cantt police station. Police confirmed the registration of the case against the accused and stated that appropriate action will be initiated against them.
