Kapurthala man arrested for demanding Rs 50 lakh ransom posing as gangster Goldy Brar 

Kapurthala: Punjab police arrested a man for making extortion calls by posing a gangster Goldy Brar in Kapurthala. 
    According to the police, complainant Raman Kumar of Mohalla Amrit Bazar Kapurthala said that unidentified miscreant making extortion calls posing as gangster Goldy Brar and demanded a ransom of Rs.50 lakh. He threatened to kill his son failing to give extortion money. 
    Apart from this, he kept demanding money by making death threats through calls from different numbers, and during the investigation of the case, Manish Gulati son of Yashpal Gulati, resident of Mohalla Kasaba Kapurthala Hall, resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Nagar Kapurthala police station City Kapurthala was arrested in this regard. 
     Accused said that his friend Gautam Arora son of Rajan Arora resident of Mohalla Hakeem Jafar Ali, who is in England and another friend Mani son of Bal Krishna Dogra resident of Sultanpur Lodhi who is now in Portugal are part of this conspiracy.
     He told that Gautam Arora is a master maid. I sent my friend Mani’s WhatsApp number from Portugal to England only on the request of Gautam Arora.
     From the Portuguese number, Gautam threatened to kill Raman Kumar and demanded money. Further investigation is ongoing and there are many important revelations, police said.
