Sikh man shot dead in New York, kin alleges hate crime
Punjab E News: Jasmer Singh, an Indian-American man living in Queens, New York, was killed in an attack shortly after a car accident.
According to the news division of the US Television and Radio Service, the accident occurred on Thursday. Jasmer was scheduled to visit India in the coming week and he was taking his wife home from the doctor.
During this time, Jasmer’s car collided with another car driver on the Van Vic Expressway. After which the driver became furious against them and attacked Jasmer Singh. Due to which he died.
Jasmer’s family spoke in New York on Sunday night and demanded that a hate crime case be filed against the suspected driver. Jasmer’s son Multani said, “My father was educated and a very good person.”
