Sikh target killing in Pakistan: 2 bike-borne assailants open fire; The second attack in two days,
New Delhi: Incidents of killings targeting minorities are increasing in Pakistan. This is the second incident of attack on Sikhs in Peshawar in two days in which one Sikh lost his life, while the other is injured. The Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) claimed responsibility for the attack.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Manmohan Singh, a resident of Peshawar.
The incident took place on Saturday evening in Yakut area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Unidentified men on a bike opened fire at Manmohan Singh. He died on the spot. The motorcyclists fled from the spot after the incident.
Earlier on Friday, bullets were fired at Tarlok Singh, a Sikh shopkeeper with the same pattern in Rashid Garhi area of Peshawar. Similarly, the assailants came on a motorcycle and opened fire on Tarlok Singh, who was sitting in the shop. Tarlok Singh was shot in the leg. After which Tarlok Singh was immediately rushed to the hospital.
