Warrant issued against sacked AIG in drug smuggling case, family also absconding

Punjab News: The Special Task Force (STF) has started working with a new strategy to arrest sacked AIG Rajjit Singh, who is on the run in a multi-crore drug smuggling and corruption case.

The STF has issued arrest warrants to arrest the accused from the Mohali district court on Thursday. By May 18, the accused will have to be arrested and produced in court. On the other hand, Rajjit’s family members have also gone underground. The house is locked.
A team of STF also raided Delhi. The STF did not get success there. However, the STF has also issued a lookout circular to prevent the accused from fleeing abroad, but Rajjit Singh was not caught.
Earlier, Rajjit Singh was named in the case registered against jailed inspector Inderjit Singh in 2017.
Also, a case of disproportionate assets was registered by vigilance. Vigilance found his last location in Delhi some time ago. At the same time, a photo of him leaving the house was captured in the camera. In this, two bags were seen in his hand, sources said.
