Jailed journalist Narges Mohammadi gets Nobel Peace Prize
New Delhi: The Norwegian Nobel Committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi for the year 2023. She fought against the oppression of women in Iran. She promoted human rights in Iran and supported freedom for all.
The Nobel Committee said that Nargis had to pay a personal price for this. She has been arrested 13 times so far. Not only this, she has been convicted 5 times. Nargis has spent 31 years in jail apart from facing severe punishments.
