Tsunami after 7.5 magnitude earthquake hits Japan, waves expected up to 5 meters high

A strong earthquake of 7.5 magnitude has occurred in Japan, after which tsunami waves are rising. A tsunami of 1.2 meters high has hit the coasts of Japan.
      A magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck north-central Japan on Monday, local media reported. According to a Reuters report, the Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami warning for the coastal areas of Ishikawa, Niigata and Toyama prefectures.
      The quake caused waves up to 5 meters high as reaching Noto in Ishikawa prefecture, according to the weather agency.
       People in coastal areas have been instructed to go to safer places amid fears of a 5-meter-high tsunami in Japan. There is panic among people. Meanwhile, rescue teams have also reached the tsunami affected area.
