Chandigarh: Twelve officers and personnel of the Punjab Police will be honoured with President’s Police Medals on Independence Day for their distinguished and meritorious service.
Inspector Baljit Singh has been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, while 11 other officers and personnel will receive the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
The recipients of the Meritorious Service Medal include IGP Babu Lal Meena, IGP S. Bhupathi, DSP Subhash Chand, DSP Jasvir Singh, DSP Karnail Singh, DSP Sanjeev Kumar, ACP Gagandeep Singh, ASI Nirmal Singh, Inspector Nirmal Singh, Inspector Rampal Singh and IGP Navneet Singh Virk.
The medals are awarded to police officers and personnel in recognition of their outstanding, meritorious and long-standing service.
