Jalandhar: A new public office for residents of the Jalandhar North Assembly constituency has been opened in the Industrial Area near Baba Sodal Ji Temple to strengthen direct communication with local residents and address their civic concerns.
The office was inaugurated by Vaneet Dhir, Mayor of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation and Jalandhar North halqa in-charge, along with his family members.
Dhir said the office would serve as a direct platform for residents to raise their problems, suggestions and requirements. He said issues would be taken up with the concerned departments and efforts would be made to ensure necessary action.
He added that matters related to roads, sanitation, sewerage, drinking water, streetlights and other basic civic amenities would be given priority.
The initiative is aimed at providing residents with a local point of contact where their concerns can be raised and followed up with the relevant departments
