ED alleges Moga AAP MLA acquired crores worth of property through land record fraud

Moga: An Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Punjab’s Moga has been accused of acquiring property worth crores of rupees by manipulating records of government land.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) claims its investigation uncovered the fraudulent transfer of five plots of land belonging to the Centre, the Punjab government, a municipal corporation and a religious institution.

According to the agency, the land was transferred in the names of AAP MLA Dr Amandeep Kaur Arora’s relatives and others through manipulation of revenue records and forged documents.

The ED also alleges that compensation of ₹1,00,65,724 was wrongfully obtained for land acquired for a national highway project.

On November 4, the agency conducted raids at seven locations linked to the MLA, which continued for 36 hours. The ED claims to have recovered documents related to the alleged irregularities during the searches.

After the raids ended, the MLA’s supporters reportedly celebrated by bursting firecrackers.
