Chandigarh: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a fresh summons to former Punjab chief secretary Anurag Verma, asking him to appear before the agency on September 7 in connection with an ongoing investigation.
Verma had earlier been summoned to appear at the ED’s zonal office on August 31 but could not attend. He had sought additional time to compile and prepare the documents requested by the investigating agency.
The probe is linked to alleged irregularities in a Mohali real estate case involving Suntec City and Alts Space Builders Pvt Ltd. The investigation concerns alleged irregularities in the change of land use (CLU) in the area.
Verma has now been asked to appear before the ED on Monday in connection with the ongoing probe.
