Florida: All nine people aboard a business jet were killed after it crashed in Florida on Sunday while travelling from Texas to the Bahamas, according to AFP.
Shortly before the crash, the pilot reportedly told an air traffic controller that the aircraft was rapidly losing altitude and was about to hit the ground.
“We’re going to hit the ground. There’s no time left,” the pilot reportedly said.
The aircraft crashed near a road, triggering a powerful explosion, leaving a large crater and sparking a fire in the surrounding area.
The crash site was located around 14 km from US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
