Chandigarh: The Punjab government has promoted 15 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) as part of a departmental restructuring aimed at strengthening the state’s police administration.
The promotion orders were issued by Alok Shekhar, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Home Affairs and Justice. The newly promoted officers have been assigned higher responsibilities and will serve in various districts and wings of the Punjab Police.
According to the official notification, the officers promoted to the rank of SP are Sukhamrit Singh Randhawa, Harsimrat Singh Chhetra, Daljit Singh, Satinder Kumar, Tajinder Pal Singh, Sanjeev Goyal, Kuldeep Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Karamvir Singh, Dalbir Singh, Nirvair Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Manish Kumar and Mahesh Kumar.
The promotions have been approved following the recommendations of the Departmental Screening Committee, which reviewed the eligible officers for elevation to the higher rank.
The move is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen the operational leadership of the Punjab Police across the state.
