Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal is set to resume his public and party activities from Tuesday, nearly two weeks after he was injured in an attack in Maharashtra on August 13.
Badal is scheduled to visit Takht Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda district on Tuesday afternoon. A large number of SAD leaders and workers are expected to accompany him.
Talwandi Sabo constituency in-charge Ravipreet Singh Sidhu said party workers would be present during Badal’s visit. After paying obeisance at the Takht Sahib, Badal is expected to visit his ancestral village home.

According to party sources, Badal will attend the SAD’s ‘Punjab Bachao Rally’ in Malout on Wednesday. The Youth Akali Dal is also planning a roadshow to welcome him to the city.
He is subsequently expected to travel to Amritsar to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple. Badal is also scheduled to address an SAD political conference at Baba Bakala on August 28.
Badal is currently in Delhi.
