Washington: US President Donald Trump held a 90-minute meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday, with the US administration describing the talks as “positive and productive.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the discussions between the two leaders were constructive but did not disclose details of the issues discussed during the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Trump also met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.
Following the meeting, Zelenskyy said the two leaders discussed granting a licence for the production of interceptors for the Patriot air defence system, along with several other proposals related to defence cooperation.
Zelenskyy said the talks also focused on reinvigorating diplomatic efforts to address the conflict in Ukraine. He added that teams from both countries would continue coordinating on the proposals and maintain close contact for future discussions.
