Bank of Baroda withdraws e-auction notice for Sunny Deol’s Juhu bungalow
New Delhi: The auction notice of Bollywood actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol’s bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai has been withdrawn. State-owned Bank of Baroda has given this information in a statement today.
Sunny Deol’s property was put on auction by Bank of Baroda on Sunday to recover Rs 56 crore through an e-auction to be held on August 25.
The Gurdaspur MP has not repaid loans worth Rs 55.99 crore from Bank of Baroda since December 2022
E-auction notice withdrawn due to technical reasons.
“The e-auction or e-auction notice in respect of the sale auction notice in respect of the property of Ajay Singh Deol alias Sunny Deol has been withdrawn due to technical reasons,” Bank of Baroda said in a statement today.
The bank had said on Sunday that the auction of Juhu’s property, popularly known as Sunny Villa, will start from Rs 51.43 crore. The minimum bid amount for this was set at ₹ 5.14 crore.
Apart from this, a property of 599.44 square meters, which includes Sunny Villa and Sunny Sounds, was also set to be auctioned.
Sunny Deol’s father Dharmendra is a private guarantor of the property.
Sunny Sounds is a company owned by Deols and is the corporate guarantor for the loan. At the same time, Sunny Deol’s father Dharmendra is a personal guarantor.
