Candle march today in memory of Shubhkaran, farmers refuses to conduct post-mortem

New Delhi: Punjab’s protesting farmers (Farmer’s Protest Shambhu Border) refused to conduct the post-mortem of Shubhkaran Singh, who lost his life at the Khanauri border, saying that justice is needed, not money.

The farmers are demanding that he be given martyr status and a case should also be registered against the Haryana Police by forming a post-mortem board.

The farmers of Punjab have been on a dharna for 12 days over several demands, including MSP guarantee. Meanwhile, the farmers have postponed the plan of the Kisan Delhi March till 29 February, informed the Samyukta Kisan Morcha.

The farmers of Punjab are standing on the Shambhu border. There is anger among the protesters after the death of farmer Shubhkaran Singh, who lost his life during the protest. He is demanding martyr status for Shubhakaran and compensation.

Farmers will take out a candle march today in memory of Shubhkaran Singh and other 3 martyred farmers. Candle marches will be organized across the country today.
