Congress Lok Sabha MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Bittu joins BJP

Chandigarh: Congress MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu joined the BJP today. The Punjab Congress has suffered the biggest setback during the Lok Sabha elections.

Bittu, a close aide of Rahul Gandhi, joined the BJP in the presence of Union minister Vinod Tawde at the party headquarters in Delhi.

Bittu has become a Congress MP for the third time. He is currently representing the Congress from Ludhiana. He had earlier represented the Congress in Parliament from Sri Anandpur Sahib. He is the grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister late Beant Singh.
