Hundreds of farmers going in support of wrestlers stopped at Khanauri border in Delhi
New Delhi: The convoy of Kisan Union Ekta Azad and Krantikari Kisan Union Punjab, Bhartiya Kisan Union Krantikari Punjab was stopped at Khanauri Punjab Haryana border. Large convoys of farmer organisations from Punjab were on their way to Delhi to make the call for a mahila samman mahapanchayat in Delhi given a call by women wrestlers protesting at Delhi Jantar Mantar to make the call a success.
The farmers raised slogans against the Modi and Khattar governments and staged a sit-in protest here after the Haryana Police stopped them from imposing a strict blockade at the Khanauri border.
The stage action was performed by Happy Namol. State Executive Member Jaswinder Singh Longowal said that the government’s slogan of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is proving to be a setback today as the daughters who have brought laurels to the country are roaming on the streets for justice.
