Land acquisition: CM Kejriwal sends inquiry report on chief secretary to LG, seeks his removal

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has submitted a report to the Lieutenant Governor (LG) in connection with an alleged corruption case involving the Delhi Chief Secretary.
The Chief Minister has recommended the immediate removal and suspension of the Chief Secretary. CM Kejriwal has instructed Atishi to forward this report to the CBI and ED.
Earlier, Vigilance Minister Atishi’s report in the alleged corruption case involving Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar had suggested his removal from the post. The 670-page report advised the immediate removal of Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and Divisional Commissioner Ashwani Kumar from their positions to prevent any influence on the investigation. All files related to the case are to be seized immediately.
Disciplinary action should be taken, and this report must be sent to the CBI for investigation. The ED should also be requested to look into the matter. Naresh Kumar and Ashwani Kumar should be suspended under service rules pending an inquiry, the report said.
The report mentioned that the chief secretary and the landowners have a relationship that cannot be overlooked.
