More than 80 arrested, Bihar Police in action after violence on Ram Navami

Patna: A bomb blast took place on Saturday amid violence that started on the occasion of Ram Navami in Sasaram in Rohtas, Bihar. Five people are reported to be injured in the incident.

The injured have been taken to a hospital, officials said. Also, a forensic team has been sent to the spot. Sasaram DM Dharmendra Kumar said, “There was a bomb blast in Sasaram. The injured were referred to BHU hospital. We are investigating all angles right now.”
“The cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained,” he said, tweeting from the official Twitter handle of Bihar Police late last night.
“A bomb blast incident was reported at Sasaram in Rohtas, during investigation, it was found that the spot was a hut. A scooty has also been recovered from there. FSL teams are reaching the spot to investigate. Prima facie, it does not appear to be a communal incident. Do not pay attention to any rumors. Cooperate with the police and administration in maintaining peace and order.
There was a clash in Biharsharif of Nalanda district last night. Bihar Sharif ASI Surendra Paswan said, “Section 144 has been imposed in Bihar Sharif. Security personnel have been deployed in the entire area.” However, District Magistrate Shashank Shubhankar said incidents took place at 2-3 places during the night but the situation is peaceful at the moment. 
More than 80 people have been arrested by identifying the miscreants. Curfew has not been imposed, Section 144 has been imposed. Today, 9 companies of security forces have been called from outside.
