Shocking: More than 13 lakh girls and women went missing in past three years in India 

New Delhi: Criminal cases related to girls keep coming up in India every day. In some cases, the girl got raped and sometimes abducted.
    The number of missing girls and women goes up to 13.13 lakh. Most of these girls and women have gone missing from Madhya Pradesh. West Bengal is in second place after MP.
According to data presented by the Union Home Ministry in Parliament last week, 10,61,648 girls above the age of 18 years went missing from India between 2019 and 2021.

     According to data presented by Parliament, 1,60,180 women and 38,234 girls went missing from Madhya Pradesh between 2019 and 2021. In the same period, 1,56,905 women and 36,606 girls went missing from West Bengal.
    Besides, 1,78,400 women and 13,033 girls have gone missing from Maharashtra. As many as 70,222 women and 16,649 girls went missing from Odisha during the same period. In Chhattisgarh, 49,116 women and 10,187 girls have gone missing.
What do the figures of Delhi say?
According to statistics, Delhi is at the top in the Union Territory. Most women and girls have disappeared from here. As many as 61,054 women and 22,919 girls have gone missing from Delhi during the three-year period. In Jammu and Kashmir, 8,617 women and 1,148 girls went missing during the same period.
