Congress delegation meets Governor to protest against Sukhpal Khaira’s arrest
Chandigarh News: A delegation of Punjab Congress leaders met Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit at his residence in connection with the arrest of MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira.
After meeting the Governor, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said that he has given full information to the Governor about the incident that took place with Sukhpal Singh at 6.30 am today. He said that Punjab has become a ‘jungle raj’. A false case has been registered against Sukhpal Khaira to settle political score with him by ruling AAP government.
Sukhpal Singh Khaira has been arrested without any facts in the eight-year-old case. Sukhpal Khaira has been included in the case against Sukhpal Singh Khaira, which has been quashed by the Supreme Court, by forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The SIT registered a case against Sukhpal Singh Khaira without questioning and summoning him, Warring said.
