PM Modi’s ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyaan’ a Landmark Initiative to Secure India’s Future: Kewal Singh Dhillon

Punjab E News (PEN News): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab president Kewal Singh Dhillon on Sunday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyaan’ as a landmark initiative aimed at protecting the country’s youth from substance abuse and laying the foundation for a stronger and more prosperous India.

Dhillon said Prime Minister Modi has consistently demonstrated his commitment to safeguarding the younger generation from the scourge of drug addiction. He emphasised that the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ can only be realised when the country’s youth are physically healthy, mentally resilient and guided by strong values. He said the campaign would play a transformative role in inspiring millions of young people to reject drugs and contribute positively to nation-building.

Expressing concern over the prevailing situation in Punjab, Dhillon criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, alleging that it had failed to honour its promise of eradicating the drug menace within three months of assuming office. He claimed that despite being in power for over four and a half years, the state government has failed to effectively tackle the problem.

“While the Modi-led Central Government is taking concrete and sustained measures to combat drug abuse, the AAP government in Punjab is merely engaging in publicity campaigns and presenting misleading claims instead of delivering tangible results,” Dhillon alleged. He further claimed that the drug network has continued to expand, devastating families and jeopardising the future of Punjab’s youth.

Describing the Prime Minister’s campaign as a significant step in strengthening the fight against drug addiction, Dhillon said BJP workers would take the message of ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyaan’ to every village, town and city across Punjab to mobilise public participation in building a drug-free society.

Appealing to the youth of Punjab, Dhillon urged them to stay away from drugs and channel their energy towards education, sports, entrepreneurship and nation-building. He said the BJP-led Central Government remains committed to creating employment opportunities and ensuring a brighter and more secure future for the youth of the state.
