SYL issue: CMs of Punjab and Haryana to hold meeting today

The third round of talks between the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana on the construction of the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal under the leadership of the Union Jal Shakti Ministry will be held in Chandigarh tomorrow.
The meeting will be hosted by the Punjab government. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been holding preparatory meetings with the water resources department for the last two days.
The Haryana government is wary of this as the Supreme Court has directed the Central government to resolve the matter through bilateral talks. Haryana’s side will be represented by the central government.
The meeting will be chaired by Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat and will be attended by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar along with their respective teams.
