Packing bags to come to Punjab, 24-year-old youth dies in Canada

A 24-year-old man from Masrala village in Gurdaspur’s border town of Dera Baba Nanak passed away in Canada. The deceased, identified as Amanpal Singh, had gone to Canada on a study visa in 2019. While packing his belongings to return to India, he experienced a brain vein rupture, causing blood to flow from his ear. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Nishan Singh, the father of the deceased, shared that his son, Amanpal Singh alias Gopi, had gone to study in the Canadian city of Brampton on a study visa. He had visited the village of Masrala a few months ago, in September 2023, to meet his family before returning to Canada after his visit.
He said his son had booked tickets for December 26. He had packed his belongings to come back to India again, but a day before he died.
