Punjab E News: In a moment of immense pride for Chandigarh and the nation, internationally acclaimed photographer Vinod Chauhan has been honoured with the prestigious Best Author – FIAP Blue Pin, the highest individual honour in an International FIAP Patronage Salon, at the 8th Lens & View International Salon 2026.
The salon was organized under the International Patronage of the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP) and the National Patronage of the Federation of Indian Photography (FIP).
The FIAP Blue Pin is the most coveted and highest-ranked individual recognition in an International FIAP Salon. Photographers from across the globe compete for this honour, making it the pinnacle of achievement in FIAP patronage salons and a distinction that ranks above the Best Indian Entrant award.
At the 8th Lens & View International Salon 2026, Vinod Chauhan delivered an exceptional performance by securing the Best Author – FIAP Blue Pin, winning three awards, and achieving 15 acceptances from 16 entries, an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects his consistency, artistic excellence, and international standing.
Vinod Chauhan is among India’s most decorated photographers, with an exceptional record of over 15,000 international and national acceptances, more than 1,600 awards, 100+ Best Indian Entrant titles, and over 40 international and national distinctions. His award-winning photographs have been exhibited in more than 60 countries, earning him worldwide recognition.
His international acclaim extends well beyond salon photography. His prestigious solo exhibition, “Beyond Barriers,” was showcased for an entire month at the State Hall – Filarmonica de Stat Oradea, Romania, reflecting global appreciation for his artistic vision. Further underscoring his international stature, he was the only Indian photographer invited for two consecutive years to participate in a Romanian Government tourism promotion project for Bihor County, Romania. The prestigious initiative brought together photographers ranked among the World’s Top 10 to promote the county’s rich cultural heritage, architecture, landscapes, and tourism through the power of photography.
Vinod Chauhan has previously been honoured with the coveted FIAP Blue Pin in several International FIAP Patronage Salons, reflecting sustained excellence at the highest level of international photography. He has also been ranked among the World’s Top Travel Photographers by the Photographic Society of America (PSA), further cementing his position as one of India’s leading photographic artists.
