Financial assistance of ₹1,000 for general category and ₹1,500 for SC category eligible women being provided
Punjab E News (19 July 2026): The Punjab Government is taking historic strides towards empowering women and ensuring their financial independence. Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan, today stated that the newly launched ‘Mukh Mantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana’ is a testament to the state government’s commitment for the welfare and progress of women.
The Speaker Sandhwan issued a strong appeal to the women of Punjab to register themselves immediately who have not yet done their registration to get the benefit of this scheme. He stressed that no deserving beneficiary should be left behind.
Under this landmark initiative, the Punjab government empowers eligible women with monthly financial aid, providing ₹1,000 to general category women and ₹1,500 to Scheduled Caste (SC) category women of Punjab.
Speaker Sandhwan emphasized that this financial aid is designed to grant women greater autonomy, allowing them to fulfill their personal needs and utilize the funds for their own well-being. He highlighted that the core objective of the government is to uplift women socially and economically, enabling them to live a life of dignity, confidence, and safety in society.
“Our government is firmly committed to creating an environment where women can thrive as independent personalities and elevate their status,” said Sandhwan. He added that the administration stands steadfastly by women at every step, consistently working to secure their progress, happiness, and overall welfare.
